The ministry of preaching is central to everything we do at Community Bible Church. We believe that correct teaching about God leads to true worship of God, and it's our goal to engage in true, heartfelt worship every time we gather together. During our worship time, we focus on expository (verse-by-verse) preaching and God-exalting music. Our services are reverent, joyful, and traditional in format. We invite you to come experience one of our services for yourself. Visitors are always welcome!

Spiritual Growth & Discipleship Ministries
Discipleship Home Bible Studies
Perhaps the most special ministry that we have at Community Bible Church is the opportunity the Lord gives us to help people who are unsure about their relationship to the Lord or who are young in their faith. Our desire in these situations is to mentor them in the fundamentals of Christianity through home Bible studies. Our prayer is that the Lord will give us many more opportunities to minister to people that have little or no contact with the Bible or Jesus Christ.
Women's Precept Bible Study The women’s Precept Bible Study is an intensive study for ladies who wish to learn the Bible in-depth. Classes are held Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Nursery is available. There is a small cost for study materials. All women are welcome, and there is no requirement to be a member of CBCHS.
Theology For Lunch Theology for Lunch is designed for men who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the theology imbedded in Scripture; in other words, why we believe what we believe. The group meets each Tuesday at noon at a local business. If you have interest in this ministry, please

Caring About People
Nursing Home Ministry
Over the last few years, CBCHS has ministered to the Inman Health Care nursing home. It’s a time of music and a devotional message mixed with a lot of God’s love. We are thrilled by the enthusiastic reception we have received from both residents and staff. It has become a source of great blessing to all those that participate.
Woman-2-Woman Woman-2-Woman is a prayer ministry with the goal of strengthening women in their spiritual walk as they pray together (Titus 2:3-5). Ladies become prayer partners for a six month period and commit to pray together on a regular basis, preferably daily, by phone or in person. The accountability and the encouragement, as well as the opportunities to share, help meet women in their areas of need.
Prayer Meeting Prayer is the life blood of the Christian, and the body of Christ, His church (Col. 4:2). This is why we devote every Wednesday night to a time of corporate prayer. It is a “sweet hour” of prayer, praise, and thanksgiving which recognizes our total dependence upon God. Planned and supervised activities for young children occur during this time so the teens and adults can focus on casting all our cares upon Him (1 Pt 5:7). We invite you to join us at 7:00 p.m. each Wednesday as we boldly approach the Throne of Grace.
Activities & Fun
Youth Group Ministry & Activities Since the Bible gives parents the primary responsibility of bringing up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Deut. 6:6-7; Prov. 1:8; Eph. 6:4; Col. 3:21), and are ultimately responsible to God for doing so, the youth ministry of Community Bible Church of Holly Springs is designed to complement, not compete with, or substitute for the God given responsibility of the parent. Nor is it simply another branch on the pop culture tree that attempts to emulate secular culture. The goal of our youth ministry is to provide a blend of in-depth teaching on the core doctrines of the Bible which include a literal six-day creation, the Fall of Man into sin, our need for salvation, God’s provision of salvation through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, repentance of sin, and holy living. We also provide opportunities for service, discipleship relationships in which students can be mentored and grow spiritually, and good wholesome fun.

Home Fellowship Groups Home fellowship groups meet approximately once a month in a CBCHS member’s home. The actual day and time varies from group to group, but all center around the teaching of God’s word, prayer, and of course, fellowship. The teaching time is more interactive than is often possible in a typical Sunday morning class, involving discussion and questions. Home fellowship groups are where some of our closest relationships are formed. If you are interested in visiting a home fellowship group, please contact Pastor Fast. You would be a very special guest.
Terrific Treks Terrific Treks are day trips open for all ages. We typically do one each quarter during the warmer time of year. The cost is generally low. It’s fun to discover new places and activities that are just a short distance from Holly Springs.
Vacation Bible School
The last several years, CBCHS has conducted a Vacation Bible School for children. The program runs in the morning each weekday, the first full week after July 4th. For 2010, our VBS program is Answers in Genesis’ “The Egypt File”. Our young people become detectives as they solve the ancient secret of The Egypt File to learn about the secret of life. For five short days, they gather important clues:
Day 1: the origin of life - where did we come from? Day 2: the unique design of the human life & body - we are wonderfully made
Day 3: the source of eternal life - the wonderful story of Jesus Day 4: the specialness of human life made in God’s image - how we treat others Day 5: the purpose of life - using our lives for God & others
There will be crafts, games, music, snacks, a fantastic drama, and a closing program on Friday night at 7 pm starring all our detectives. Come join the learning fun!
Christmas In Honduras
For a number of years, CBCHS participated in Operation Christmas Child - a ministry of Christmas giving to needy children around the world. In 2009, we personalized the same basic program by partnering with our missionary, Sam Conover, in Honduras. Each year we pack roughly 200 shoe boxes with small toys, hygiene items, school supplies and hard candies. When presented to the child in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, a tract titled “The Greatest Gift” is presented as well. Sam has been able to make many valuable contacts with children and their families using the shoe box gifts provided by CBCHS. This has become a very special ministry for our church.
